Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio, is an American actress. She is famous for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively in ABC's Lost television series. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school when her parents separated to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. She was struggling to get by when she got her first part in the acting world in Rachel's Room's leading character. In 2002, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford played the lead actress on Lost for its first two seasons. In 2004, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace, who had worked alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, wanted to move to film. The actress was as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern interpretation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 until 2014. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie and is also a model actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit more senior than Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager when she appeared in small roles in several films that her father directed. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko. Then she appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for both her performances as a lead character actress in Secretary (2002) which is the erotic drama about romance as well as Sherrybaby (2006). The actress was also nominated for The Golden Globe Award. Following several commercially-successful films, such as World Trade Center in 2006 her name was recognized more widely in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). As the single mother in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Following that she continued to appear in comedy films along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (12). Other roles she has played include a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in Frank (2014) as well as her role as the lead in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
